A Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) in Physiotherapy is a vocational undergraduate program that focuses on training students in the field of physiotherapy. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that uses physical techniques such as exercise, manual therapy, and electrotherapy to promote mobility, function, and quality of life.

Some key aspects of the program typically include:

  1. Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding the structure and function of the human body, particularly the musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary systems.

  2. Biomechanics: Studying the mechanics of human movement and how it relates to physical therapy.

  3. Exercise Therapy: Learning therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.

  4. Manual Therapy: Understanding and practicing hands-on techniques such as massage and joint mobilization.

  5. Electrotherapy: Learning about the use of electrical modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation in physical therapy.

  6. Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Developing skills in assessing patients’ physical conditions and creating treatment plans.

  7. Clinical Internship: Gaining practical experience through clinical internships in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare settings.

Upon completion of the program, graduates can work as physiotherapy assistants or pursue further education to become licensed physiotherapists.
